Antique portrait of a woman dated 1897 and signed H (something) Bouvet in the lower left.  This is a striking, light and bright portrait, quite different to the usual portraits of the time.  A woman, possibly a dancer looks at the artist with her brown eyes.  Her hair is swept up and fixed with a red flower, possibly a rose.  She wears a blouse with a frilly neckline, the artist has embellished it with impasto enforced paint to give depth and interest.
