Large vintage French impressionist interior scene of a vignette and tapestry, most likely situated in a French Chateau, signed in the lower left corner, J George.  This is a very attractive, traditional French look oil painting on canvas. A French cabinet or commode, flanked by two antique chairs stands in front of a paneled wall which is covered in a huge tapestry.  On top of the commode sits a detailed 18th century French clock.  But your eye is taken straight to the colourful tapestry where 18th century figures play hide and seek in the Chateau's grounds.  Incredibly different and very charming piece which is textured to the touch throughout.

Condition:  The painting is in good vintage condition but it is not perfect.  Expect renovations and limited missing paint and minor flaws throughout.  The frame also has imperfections associated with a vintage item, such as losses of guilding, indentations, visible nails at the corners.  The whole comes together very well and makes an attracted vintage decorative piece.
