Vintage French still life oil painting of fish by French artist, Francois Mengalatte (1920-2009). Impressionist sea bream and red peppers.  It's a large size canvas, ideal for a kitchen or dining setting.  A textured canvas painted with verve and gusto with a large brush. There's plenty of impasto to elevate and animate this painting.  The red of the peppers is echoed in the hues of the fish, complimenting the other colours of greys, greens and blues.

Condition: This painting is in overall good condition, however you should expect imperfections throughout such as small areas of missing paint and some renovation to the bottom of the painting near the edge of the canvas.  Also the middle stretch bar is slightly visible.
