Vintage landscape oil painting on wood board by French artist Reine Virely Colmez (1906-1946) An unusual subject for this artist as a lot of her work was painting ballerinas.  Here we have a stunning riverscape, signed in the bottom left corner.  It's an oil on wood, painted with a delightful palette of neutral hues, reflecting the French countryside.

Signed: Yes, I don't know very much about this artist, except that her paintings were usually exceptional. and she died at the age of 40.
