Vintage Still Life post impressionist oil painting on board of white flowers with yellow centres by French artist Auguste Denis-Brunaud (1903-1985). A mid-century pretty jewel like vintage oil painting in its original frame. There is another painting on the reverse, but it has suffered major paint loss.

Condition: This painting is in good condition, however you should expect imperfections associated with a vintage item, the painting is slightly convex and for thhis reason, it has a backing board. The frame is the original and in good condition, expect minor wear and tear associated with age.
Signed: Auguste Denis-Brunaud (1903-1985) Always good with his hands, during the First World War Auguste, a young teenager, helped his father in the family carpentry shop. He was passionate about the arts, theater, music, singing, drawing, painting and sculpture. A fter his military service, he settled in Montmartre and he become the friend of Paul-Emile Pissarro.
He later moved to Brittany, a small town near Dol-de-Bretagne where he lived out his life and painted mostly still lifes in oil.
