Vintage mid-century post impressionist oil painting on stretched canvas by French artist, Edouard Febvre (1885-1967).  This painting is signed by the artist in the lower right corner.  An incredible depiction of a 14th of July celebratory ball in Montmartre, Paris.  A band plays from a balcony while people dance below under French flag bunting.  Here, the artist has reproduced the movement, excitement and enjoyment of the annual ball at Montmartre.  People are animated and you can feel the motion and atmosphere in the painting.  In the fore, people sit around a table drinking cocktails, however, the artist has not forgotten to add depth to this painting as your eye can travel right to the back of the room where the waiters attend the tables and you can almost hear the music, loud chatter and laughter!  It's exciting, different and very decorative.
