Large Antique French Still Life oil painting on canvas of white lilies in a green vase atop a covered table.  Large showy lilies in full bloom against a darker backdrop fill the upper half of this impressive canvas by French artist Marie-Louis Cornelius.  It's on a smooth canvas, a clever compostition with the light appearing from the left, the lilies stretch towards the darkened right.

Condition:  This painting is in good condition for the age, however you should expect some imperfections such as some craquelure.  The vintage frame also has imperfections throughout.  
Signed: Marie-Lucie Cornelius (1850-1915)  French.  She appeared at the Paris Salon in 1885 with a still life, which could have been this one!  She is known for painting still lifes, particularly florals.
