French school floral painting by Sylvia Gardette signed in the lower left corner and dated 1936.  This painting is on a stretched canvas in its original frame.  The canvas is textured to the touch and has elements of impasto enforced raised highlights throughout the petals and leaves in the bouquet.  The artist has used brushes and knives to give interest and animation.  Hues of reds, oranges and greens blend perfectly and the juxtaposition of the dark elements give depth and reality to the piece.
