Louise Alix (1888-1980) was born in Paris, Louise was a painter of florals, landscapes, still lifes and portraits. She studied under Yvonne Delattre and Henri Zo.  She exhibited at the Salon of French Artists in Paris from 1912 to 1914. From 1926 until 1941 at the Salon des Artistes Français receiving a commendation in 1928, the Bernheim de Villiers prize in 1933, and the silver medal for applied arts in 1935. She also occasionally exhibited her work at the Salon des Indépendants.

In 2023 a large number of her works were found in the attic of an old town house in Northern France by a couple who had bought the house. Although talented in many areas, her best works are clearly floral compositions in oil, water colour and gouache. She most likely used the flowers from her garden to create her amazing compositions.
