Edouard Febvre (1885-1967)

Edouard based himself in Paris, particularly in and around Montmartre. He was a painter, using oils, watercolour and pastels. He is famous for scenes with figures and also painted landscapes and urban landscapes.

Febvre rarely painted very far from Paris and its suburbs. The few times that he did, it was to paint landscapes with water, riverbanks, canals or ports. In Paris, his favourite views were taken from the picturesque old Montmartre. He continued to paint the picturesque in his animated composition with clowns in the circus, lovers on the dance floor, or figures seeking rare finds at the scrap-iron fair.

Edouard Febvre is listed in Akoun as achieving 2,300€ in 2006 'Paris, la fete foraine sur les grands boulevards'
