Abel Dominique Boye (1864-1934)


Abel was a painter of portraits and scenes and came from Marmande in the Lot-et-Garonne region of France.


Many of his pieces of art, mostly of women were commissioned for postcards in the late 19th and early 20th centuries.


He was a student of Benjamin Constant (1845-1902).


His art is exhibited in the museum at Agen in south west France.
